The Fine Print
Dragon boating is a water sport, and there are a few things you need to be aware of:
- You should be able to swim 50 metres unaided in the clothes you will be wearing in the dragon boat. If you can't then you must wear a personal flotation device (PFD) when in the dragon boat. PFD's are supplied by the CDBA at no charge.
- You have to be willing to take instructions in paddling and water safety.
- There is a risk of injury when participating in the sport of dragon boating, but you have to be willing to accept this and participate completely at your own risk.
