The CDBA has a number of pieces of equipment that are available for CDBA members and clubs to use.

Conditions of Use

Ergs

Currently the CDBA has the erg machines available for all members of the CDBA in order to improve their fitness, strength and stroke. However, these machines are quite fragile so please treat them with care as any damage will be paid for by your membership dollars.

Please note the following in order to use the ergs:

• The ACT Representative Team, the ACT Fire has priortiy use of the erg in the run up to the Nationals
• All sessions must be booked by through the CDBA booking portal
• Paddlers may not book more than two sessions a week (subject to change depending on demand)
• Paddlers may only book in blocks of 30 mins each (subject to change depending on demand)
• Teams can book sessions there will be no 'ongoing' bookings (eg every Monday night). Remember that all Teams would like to make use of the ergs and consider that when making bookings
• If the ergs are mistreated in any way the shed will be closed off again and will not be reopened

Excalibur Paddle

The Excalibur Paddle is available to Clubs to use. A refundable deposit of $100 is required upon loan of the Excalibur. Software required for data analysis is also included. The period of the loan is 72 hours, you must arrange a convienient time to pick up and return the paddle. If there is any serious damage done to the paddle while it is on loan, you automatically forfit your deposit and your club may be liable for further damages.

Data Logging Accelerometers

The accelerometers are used to measure boat acceleration, velocity, power, displacement, stroke rate, timing among other things. Currently there is no software dedicated to the analysis of the data, however, analysis may be arranged.
